How does Cryolipolysis Work?

Anti-freeze membranes are placed onto the target areas followed by the  Cryolipolysis applicators. These comfortable applicators create a vacuum-effect on the skin; this holds the applicators in place during the session. 

Once activated, heat is delivered to increase blood circulation followed by controlled sub-zero temperatures crystallising the fat cells without damaging the skin, causing them to die.   • How quickly do you see results after Cryolipolysis?

    Fat freezing results are noticeable within approximately three weeks, but as your body needs to naturally dispose of the fat cells itself, it can take up to three months to see full results.   • What happens to the fat cells after they have been treated?

    The method of fat freezing means that the machine used in the treatment kills the treated fat cells. Within a few weeks of the procedure, these dead fat cells become naturally broken down by your body and excreted through the liver. This is not dangerous, nor will you feel this process happening.

  • Will I feel anything during a fat freezing session?

    Cryolipolysis, or fat freezing, is a non-invasive and painless procedure. However, due to the nature of the method, you may experience the treated area to becoming cold and red during and after treatment; your skin may also feel firmer than pre-treatment – this is from the sub-zero temperatures freezing the fat. The person conducting the treatment will massage the area to encourage blood flow to the area. You may still experience slight numbness or tingling following treatment, but this will return to normal relatively quickly. Bruising following treatment is also a common side effect.
